CBD Myth: CBD Can’t Treat Medical Conditions

On June 25, 2018, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a CBD-based oral solution to treat seizures associated with two rare and severe forms of epilepsy. This was a major accomplishment for the CBD industry, as it was the very first time a CBD-based drug received FDA approval.
There is also ongoing research into CBD’s potential ability to treat other medical conditions such as anxiety, depression, and even some cancer-related symptoms.
1. CBD Myths: Professional Athletes Don’t Use CBD
Surely professional athletes are disciplined enough to not use CBD, right? Wrong!

If you have friends that use CBD, you may have heard them say how it helps them unwind and fall asleep easier. While they’re not necessarily fibbing, CBD is not actually a sedative. In fact, taking it in the morning can actually make you feel energized.
So why do people feel sleepy sometimes after taking it? People with anxiety or depression may feel calmer and at peace after consuming CBD. This can potentially result in improved sleeping patterns and an overall clearer state of mind to battle medical conditions like insomnia.
3. Another False (2) Thought: Taking More CBD is Always Better
This could be the biggest myth of them all. A lot of people have a “more is better” mentality when it comes to many different things. As we’ve learned over time, however, more isn’t always better — and the same can be said for CBD and hemp.
Dosage is very important when it comes to CBD. This is why most CBD oils come in different dosage levels because everyone’s ideal dosage is different.
