Getting into the habit of a morning wellness routine is the best way to set your day up for success. Since most of us are now working from home, now is the time to set up a morning routine that you will actually stick to and that will make your day feel more structured during this time of uncertainty.
If you’ve been hitting the snooze button four times in a row, followed by gulping down a huge cup of coffee before hastily logging into your Zoom meeting, there is no judgment. But you’ll be surprised by how much better you feel when you start a morning routine that focuses on your well-being.
Your morning routine isn’t about adding 32 more things to your to-do list in the morning, it’s about giving yourself space and time to start the day with peace, confidence and a clear mind. Give yourself enough time in the morning to go through your routine without feeling rushed and extra stressed about it. Set your alarm for a reasonable time and don’t hit the snooze button! Give yourself 30-60 minutes to go through your morning before you have to start work or get your kids ready.
Adding movement to your morning is the best way to get the blood flowing and stretch out the sleep from the night before. It doesn’t have to be a 3-mile run, even just a 10 minute yoga series next to your bed will do the trick. Getting up to move will wake you up and help you resist the urge to just lay in bed scrolling your phone.
Put your hand up if you feel like you don’t drink enough water during the day…. us too. It can be hard to remember to hydrate throughout the day if you get busy with the rest of your life. Starting the day with a tall glass of water (maybe add in lemon or cucumber) will rehydrate your body after your night’s sleep and get you started on your daily water intake.

Add in CBD
You don’t have to be a breakfast person to add CBD to your morning routine. We are fans of adding a few drops to your morning beverage, whether that’s a coffee or tea, you’ll get your morning caffeine with a boost of CBD. You could also add it to your morning glass of water if you wanted.
If you don’t want to put it in your coffee, taking a soft gel with your other vitamins is a great option too. Whatever way you choose to add CBD to your morning routine, it can help calm your mind and provide extra benefits like reducing inflammation.
